The Patriots have put together a great offseason building alot of depth across their defense, and at WR and RB. On paper, this team looks as complete a Patriots squad as we've seen under Belichick with the possible exception of the 2007 team. That team was alot older than this team though. This team is young, hungry and should be better than the team that went to the Superbowl last year.
Last season one storyline the pundits consistently missed was the Patriots were in the middle of rebuilding their defense. In the AFC Championship game, they started 6 players in their first or second year in the league. This year the defense will have alot more experience and will be intergrating some quality new players acquired through free agency (DT Fanene, S Gregory, Slot CB Allen, OLB Scott) and the draft with 2 first round picks and several others.
The National Football Post a story on Vegas setting up their initial lines for every NFL game (except the last week) for next season. Even though it is very early to even think about such things, a quick look at it shows that the Patriots are favored to win all those games. Here's the list:
Here's the early lines on their games next year:
Note that the Packers are also favored to win every game this year right now.
