A Great Half English – Half French Version of O Canada in Montreal

canada

I love the Canadian National Anthem, O Canada. I grew up listening to it whenever the Bruins played a Canadian based team and it just stuck in my head. The half English – half French version they do is the best of it.

Here are the lyrics:

O Canada!
Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.

Here is Tenor Paul Trepanier singing it at a Montreal Forum hockey game on May 3, 1986.
