The Perfect Summary of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia

Granted, this is from an ex-Obama official, but I've read this many times from different sources, even some conservative ones. Here's the quote from Neal K. Katyal, a former acting solicitor general in the Obama administration:

“The bitter divisions, and doctrinal incoherence of the term as a whole, were in full display the moment Justice Scalia began reading his DOMA dissent, where he attacked the majority for ignoring ‘our respected co-ordinate branches, the Congress and presidency of the United States’ and stripping ‘the power of the people to govern themselves.”

“As everyone in the courtroom knew that was, of course, exactly what Justice Scalia had just done the day before by voting to strike down the landmark Voting Rights Act, one of the crown jewels of the civil rights movement.”
